World Leprosy Day

EVENT: COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME BY GNM 1st YEAR STUDENTS
The theme of "Beat Leprosy" serves as a powerful reminder of the need to address the social and psychological aspects of leprosy, alongside the medical efforts to eliminate the disease.
The activities were centered around the theme "Beat Leprosy".
Supervision: The initiative was led by "Mr. Sachin Chhari” an Assistant Professor in the Community Health Nursing department.

Health Education on Kidney

The kidney health awareness program began with a welcome by "Mr. Udit Yadav” and an educational session by Dr. K S Chandra for paramedical students. The event concluded with a Poster-cum-Model Competition, where Group-A (OTT 2nd Year – Anamika, Richa & Nandini) won 1st prize, followed by Group-B and Group-E. Special thanks to the Principal, Vice-Principal, and all participants for making it a success.

World Aids Day

“Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response”
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME

A community awareness programme on HIV/AIDS was conducted by nursing students through a rally and role play. The activities focused on prevention, early diagnosis, and reduction of stigma. Active participation from community members indicated a positive impact.

National Girl Child Day Awareness Programme

Regency Institute of Nursing, Kanpur organized a National Girl Child Day Awareness Programme on 24 January 2026 at Bhagpur Village, Kanpur. Conducted by GNM III Year and ANM II Year students, the programme included a rally, role play, and interaction with villagers to promote girl child education and empowerment.

Breast Feeding Day

"Importance of Breastfeeding"
On August 1, 2025, Dr. Anish Sinha delivered a lecture on the "Importance of Breastfeeding" at the Regency Institute of Nursing, Kanpur. He highlighted the nutritional and protective benefits for infants, health advantages for mothers, and the vital role healthcare professionals play in supporting successful breastfeeding.

World Health Day

"HEALTHY BEGINNINGS, HOPEFUL FUTURES”
World Health Day 2025 was celebrated at the Regency Institute of Nursing, Kalyanpur, Kanpur, with the theme “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures.” The program, inaugurated by Mr. Ch. Sridhar, aimed to promote awareness about child and adolescent health in line with the vision of the World Health Organization. Students actively participated, making the event informative and engaging.

World Tuberculosis Day

"Yes! We can end TB"
Regency Institute of Nursing organized a comprehensive awareness program to commemorate World TB Day. The initiative aimed to unite the community in the global effort to eliminate tuberculosis and ensure quality care for those affected.

Breast Cancer Awareness Programme

"HEALTHY BEGINNINGS, HOPEFUL FUTURES”
The Regency Institute of Nursing, collaborating with an NGO, held a Breast Cancer Awareness program at Round Table Gayaprasad Higher Secondary School, Bithoor. Third-year GNM students performed a skit for female adolescents, their mothers, and faculty. This interactive session included a Q&A led by Mrs. Shipra Sachan (HOD, OBG) and Mrs. KVLD Bhavani (Assistant Professor, OBG).

Diabetes and Wellness

An expert lecture on "Diabetes and Wellness" was organized by the Medical-Surgical Department at Regency Institute of Nursing. Delivered by Dr. Manisha Gupta, the session covered the types of diabetes, including Type 1, Type 2, and gestational, while highlighting symptoms like excessive thirst and fatigue. She emphasized early diagnosis through tests like HbA1c and discussed management via lifestyle changes, insulin therapy, and regular monitoring. The lecture concluded with a warning about complications such as nerve and kidney damage.

World Heart Day

"USE HEART FOR ACTION”
World Heart Day is observed and celebrated annually on September 29, with the aim of increasing awareness of cardiovascular diseases and how to control them to negate their global impact. The international holiday was established by the World Heart Federation in collaboration with the World Health Organization.
