Bachelor of Nursing (B.Sc. in Nursing) is an undergraduate degree course that trains students in general nursing practices. The programme focuses on mastering various aspects of paramedical studies. As part of their training to become a nurse, students are taught about wellness, illness, disease management and health promotion. The main aim of the program is to train students to think critically and clearly while also being compassionate, disciplined, and assertive, in order to meet the diverse needs of the medical profession, the healthcare delivery system, and society. This course includes a six-month's training at Regency Hospitals, which are spread across Kanpur and Others Center in U.P. comprising of almost 700 beds.
Objective
Upon the successful completion of the course the bachelors of this program shall be able to:
- Provide nursing care to patients as a part of a health care team.
- Use their critical thinking skills while making decisions in all situations in order to provide quality care.
- Effectively communicate with individuals and groups and members of the team so as to promote productive interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
- Showcase skills in teaching individuals and groups in clinical / community health settings.
- Effectively participate as members of the health team in health care delivery system.
- Demonstrate awareness, interest and contribute towards advancement of self and of the profession .
